Hinata wanders through the park observing everyone and everything around her instead of training today. She decided she wanted to see everything she is trying to defend in an attempt to strengthen her resolve to protect it all. All of th epeople going about their daily lives and activities makes her happy, knowing that people are out there wanting to end the lives of everyone in the Leaf village makes her sad as well. Her natural tendency to not want to hurt anyone is something she can't afford during an attack on the village or even on a mission. She knows she will have to do things she won't like despite her normal nature. She watches a mother discipline her son by spanking him for doing something bad, but she also notices that the mother didn't want to spank him. The look on the mothers face shows her concern about whether or not she did the right thing, but the fact that her son started behaving lets Hinata realize that sometimes it is necessary to do things that you don't like to get the needed result. Although she also understands that it must be done correctly otherwise the problem will either persist or a newer even bigger one will take it's place. HInata sighs as the lesson sinks in about responsibility and how actions affect everything around her on a daily basis.
